Straw coloured with a green tinge, it has a forthcoming, fragrant nose, smelling of lemon blossom, and dried figs with a creamy, biscotti underlay also hinting of fresh walnuts. The palate is quite full and poised, and shows a 'crystalline' purity. It tastes of lemon brulèe and dried figs, with some mineral notes and an aftertaste of blanched almonds. It is attractive drinking now, but it is worth cellaring from about 3 years and evaluating maturation progress from then on. |
